After four years of development, My First Bitcoin expanded from a local initiative into a worldwide movement. In 2025, the organization shifted focus to empowering communities worldwide to reclaim sovereignty over their money and their lives — through Bitcoin education centred on critical thinking and personal agency.
A year of global expansion
Our reach expanded from 28 to 39 countries, welcoming 28 new communities teaching locally and connected globally.
Training initiatives reached impressive numbers, with more than 3,500 students and nearly 100 educators trained through in-person, online, and self-paced programs.
Three new programs aligned with our open-source philosophy
Three major initiatives launched in 2025, all designed to be freely accessible and community-driven:
- Bitcoin for Organizations — for leaders and professionals.
- Bitcoin for Juniors — foundational concepts for ages 8–12.
- Educator Training Program — turning diploma graduates into confident educators.
Looking ahead to 2026
The roadmap for 2026 includes substantial innovations:
- A redesigned modular learning pathway with AI-powered translation capabilities.
- A decentralized Nostr-based platform incorporating Bitcoin Zaps and gamification features.
- Five unconference events scheduled across multiple continents — including Argentina and Kenya.
