Bitcoin Educators Unconference returns to El Salvador

My First Bitcoin is bringing its 7th Bitcoin Educators Unconference back to El Salvador. Following successful editions in San Salvador, Madeira, and Nashville, the event heads to the mountains for a third time at Cadejo Montaña on November 13, 2025 — during Bitcoin Week, the day before Adopting Bitcoin. The gathering is built around grassroots projects and Bitcoin education, offering both a learning space and a social layer for educators to connect.

Everyone is a potential speaker

Unlike a conventional conference, an Unconference flips the format: every attendee is a potential speaker. At the start of the day, the stage opens for everyone to pitch their own ideas, which are then grouped into separate breakout rooms. The sessions are designed to reflect the Bitcoin ethos — decentralized and collaborative — meaning the program is created together, shaped by input from all attendees.

Everyone is a (potential) speaker.

Attendance is deliberately limited to 150 attendees to keep the event high-signal and intimate. Those interested in presenting can apply by submitting their ideas ahead of time.

A global gathering of builders and educators

Past Unconferences have drawn a wide range of voices, from educators like Ben Perrin (BTC Sessions), Julian Figueroa, Jeff Booth, and Preston Pysh, to grassroots projects such as Bitcoin Ekasi, AmityAge, and Bitcoin Indonesia. Previous editions sparked discussions on global education networks, grassroots adoption, Bitcoin communities, gamification of educational resources, and tools for the youth.

The event is rooted in the principles of an impartial, independent, decentralized, and community-led organization, reflecting My First Bitcoin’s mission to educate and empower the world with Bitcoin knowledge.

Practical details

The Unconference takes place at Cadejo La Montaña in Nuevo Cuscatlán, San Salvador. Doors open at 10 am, with the event running from 11 am to 6 pm. Complimentary drinks, snacks, and lunch are included in the ticket price. As a non-profit, My First Bitcoin aims to run the event at breakeven. Tickets are available at bitcoinunconference.com.
