A New Chapter in Bitcoin Education: What's Changing and Why It Matters

After months of rebuilding, My First Bitcoin rolls out major updates across courses, educator tools, and content infrastructure - making high-quality Bitcoin education easier to translate, easier to teach, and easier to scale globally.

A New Chapter in Bitcoin Education: What's Changing and Why It Matters

My First Bitcoin has spent the past months rebuilding and expanding its education ecosystem. This week, we are rolling out a major set of updates across our courses, educator tools, and content infrastructure.

These changes matter for one simple reason: they make high-quality Bitcoin education easier to translate, easier to teach, and easier to scale globally.

Quick Breakdown

A More Accessible Entry Point: The Updated Introduction to Bitcoin

Introduction to Bitcoin is the entry point into our education ecosystem. It gives beginners a simple and accessible foundation before they move into more advanced material.

What’s new:

  • PDF and audio versions are now available for the first time in 40+ languages

  • The self-paced course is available in English and Spanish

This update ensures that anyone, anywhere, can take their first step into Bitcoin education with minimal friction.

Scaling Our Flagship: The Bitcoin Diploma

The Bitcoin Diploma is our core educational program, offering a structured and in-depth understanding of Bitcoin and the problems it solves. It is designed for learners who want to go beyond the basics and truly grasp the system.

The biggest change is not just in content, but in how it’s built and delivered.

Key updates:

  • Translation-first infrastructure powered by AI-assisted workflows

  • Available in around 40+ languages already, with rapid expansion ahead

  • A new content framework that allows faster updates and global scaling

Previously, translating and updating the diploma required heavy manual effort. Now, we can create high-quality drafts in multiple languages almost instantly, while still keeping human review at the center.

This means one thing: exponential reach. We are now able to bring Bitcoin education to regions and languages that were previously out of reach.

Empowering Educators: The New Educator Training Program (ETP)

The Educator Training Program is designed to turn learners into confident Bitcoin educators. It focuses on practical teaching ability - not just content knowledge.

What’s new:

  • Transition from self-paced videos to live, interactive sessions

  • Sessions available in English and Spanish across multiple time zones

  • Small cohort sizes of around 10 participants

  • A structured, three-day format focused on practical teaching skills

This new format gives participants the chance to develop confidence, improve their teaching, and learn in a more active setting.

For partners, this means a stronger, more capable network of educators worldwide.

Teaching Made Easier: The Educator Guide

The Educator Guide is a practical companion to the Bitcoin Diploma. It acts as a structured playbook for delivering the diploma in real-world settings.

Included in the guide:

  • Step-by-step guidance on how to run a class

  • Clear structure for each lesson

  • Flexibility for educators to adapt content to their style and culture

This reduces the barrier to entry for new educators and gives more experienced educators a stronger structure to work from.

Difference between the ETP and the Educator Guide:

The Educator Training Program develops the educator through live practice and feedback. The Educator Guide supports the educator in practice as a structured teaching tool.

A Major Milestone: Launching Bitcoin for Juniors

Bitcoin for Juniors is a new educational program designed for students aged 8–12, focusing on foundational thinking rather than technical Bitcoin knowledge. It prepares young minds by introducing the concepts that lead naturally to understanding Bitcoin later.

It does not start with Bitcoin. It starts with the kinds of ideas that prepare children to understand Bitcoin later:

  • What is value?

  • What is time and energy?

  • What is fairness?

  • What is private vs. public?

Through games, storytelling, and interactive activities, children explore the concepts that naturally lead to understanding Bitcoin.

Key characteristics:

  • Activity-based learning rather than lecture-based instruction

  • No devices or technical setup required

  • Designed for educators, parents, and homeschoolers

  • Delivered as a practical guide with printable resources

This program reflects a longer-term vision: helping younger generations build better foundations before misconceptions about money become deeply ingrained.

The Invisible Upgrade: Infrastructure That Changes Everything

Behind all of these changes is a rebuilt content system.

Instead of maintaining educational materials across disconnected documents, PDFs, and design files, we are moving toward a more structured publishing workflow. This makes translation, revision, reuse, and distribution much faster and more reliable.

This matters because it:

  • Reduces duplication

  • Shortens update cycles

  • Makes it easier to adapt content into new formats

  • Supports localization across languages and contexts

It also opens the door to new formats - slides, videos, audiobooks, PDFs, and localized versions - all built from the same core educational foundation.

Looking Ahead

These updates are not just incremental improvements. They represent a strategic shift from localized education to a truly global, scalable system.

We are moving from:

  • Manual → Automated

  • Static → Adaptable

  • Local → Global

For our partners, this means better tools, stronger educator support, and more scalable ways to bring Bitcoin education to their communities.

We’re incredibly proud of what the team has accomplished, and even more excited about what comes next.
